Domes are designed to handle heat and maintain a comfortable interior temperature. It is possible to use features such as reflective membranes, insulation liners, optional cooling elements like solar fans or air-conditioning units. These design elements work together to create a comfortable and cool interior environment, even in hot climates.
The default white membrane color of the dome aids in reflecting sun rays, reducing heat absorption. Additionally, the insulation liner acts as a barrier, preventing heat from penetrating the dome’s interior. This combination of reflectance and insulation helps to keep the dome cool even in hot weather.
To further enhance heat management, optional features such as a solar fan (heat extractor) can be added. This promotes better air circulation and ventilation within the dome, contributing to a cooler environment.
