Domes are designed to effectively handle cold weather conditions and maintain a cozy and comfortable interior temperature even in sub-polar climates like Finnish Lapland.
To create a cozy and warm winter dome, several essential accessories play a vital role.
The first crucial element is the insulation liner, which effectively retains heat and acts as a vapor barrier to prevent moisture buildup inside the dome. Two insulation options are available: the Standard Alum-Air Insulation recommended for temperatures down to -15°C, and the Insulation+ for colder climates, providing equivalent insulation to 13cm of styrofoam.
For added warmth, a wood-burning stove with a specially designed chimney creates a pleasant atmosphere, ensuring comfort during chilly days. The stove’s ceramic combustion chamber and isolated steel base plate guarantee safety and prevent heat from affecting the dome’s walls and flooring.
